    Gracie is beautiful. I am almost jealous as I sit here with my rambunctious 7 month old pup remembering the good ol´days when she was so little...3 months ago. She has been a wonderful addition to our family but I won´t ramble on because you really don´t know who I am too much and I don´t want you to think I am one of those crazy dog people.

    Oh Cathy - that is one absolutely gorgeous puppy. I think she is one of the prettiest that I have seen in a while. She goes quite well with your beautiful family. Have a blast!

    Oooooooooo! Sigh... she is just so stinkin' cute. The name Gracie fits this little princess doggie to a tee. I've been waiting for these pictures, and the wait was well worth it. These photos just ooze love. I am so happy for you guys. What a great addition to the family.

The floodgates have opened.

So, I was doing pretty well managing my emotions. I kept telling people that I had processed a lot of my grieving over Tejan's departure back in January - when we were so close to saying goodbye... and so that must be why I wasn't feeling overly emotional about it this time around. I hadn't shed any tears. Hadn't choked up in that strange, overwhelming way where I feel like my whole head is filling up with fluid and my throat is so constricted I'm just sure I'm going to die. Nope. I was doing just fine. And then I went out to dinner with some girlfriends. And while I was a little socially inept because I'm a kind of overwhelmed and not really wanting to talk too much lately (perhaps in subconscious fear that I might touch on a nerve that would cause my aforementioned steely resolve to crumble) I thought I got through the evening fairly well.
