Ten

  1. Be sure you read the poem post below. It makes me laugh.
  2. We are so ready for school to be out around here... ready for not having to be anywhere at any specific time...
  3. Piano recital next Monday... the kids are playing pretty darn good... it's fun to see them develop their skills.
  4. Didn't get the Easter decor put away yesterday... yikes. I'm such a loser. But I did get five loads of laundry done and my whole studio cleaned. Yay!
  5. Been thinking a lot about change lately... feeling a little restless. Looking at house listings in the newspaper. Wondering if there's something different we should/could be doing... I sure wish Tejan would come. That should help with this longing for something more... something different...
  6. Krochet Kids has a blog. I wrote about them awhile back - you can read it here. Anyway - they're a group of college and post-college guys who have started their own non-profit - teaching women in Uganda how to crochet, and then selling their beanies here in the states as a way to employ them. I bought a beanie for E. at church a few weeks back. Anyway - the blog is a fascinating read... so proud of these young guys stepping out and living a crazy dream.
  7. Got my reminder post card for my annual dentist check-up. Ugh. Better start flossing.
  8. I'm working all day today... and dinner is already in the crock pot. Love when I can manage that.
  9. I'm hooked on The Next Food Network Star.
  10. Happy happy Tuesday, friends. Smoochie smooch.

Happy Birthday Cathy! , originally uploaded by Pink Paper Peppermints . All of these sweet bloggy friends threw me a cyber-birthday party! How fun is that? Thank you, dear friends. I am touched. It's really just what I needed today. Sweet Tanya even made me a cake. If you want to follow the party around cyber-space, you can go to Melissa's blog to see everyone who is participating.

Getting to know you Wednesday

So it's been awhile. But I thought hearing from ya'll might cheer up my little snow encrusted Spokane self. So today, if I get at least 12 comments, I'll randomly pick one and send that lucky commenter any CD from Your Music . Whatever you want. So today, in light of mid-winter doldrums, I want you to answer the following three questions. Nope. I was doing just fine. And then I went out to dinner with some girlfriends. And while I was a little socially inept because I'm a kind of overwhelmed and not really wanting to talk too much lately (perhaps in subconscious fear that I might touch on a nerve that would cause my aforementioned steely resolve to crumble) I thought I got through the evening fairly well. I didn't tear up - or need tissue for any fluids defiantly leaking from my facial orifices... until I made the a...
