Right now...

  1. I'm sitting cross-legged on my couch with my favorite blanket and my laptop
  2. It's 10:13 p.m.
  3. Asia is watching "Law and Order"
  4. The kids are asleep all snug in their beds
  5. I'm wearing jammie pants and a black t-shirt
  6. The dishwasher is running
  7. The book I bought tonight at the used book store is sitting on the coffee table
  8. I'm about to go take a bath and get ready for bed
  9. My nose is running - I think I might be getting a cold
  10. I just saw a preview for a new show called "Three Wishes" with Amy Grant - I'm all teary eyed just from the preview

Favorite Blanket? I would feel so bad if I was thinking that it would be the one I made you and you reply "No, a different one"! I guess life would still go on but I would feel like you were being so stand offish and snooty...hee ! I just had to add that! SMILE!!! Love ya tons! I so get you. You had me a hello!! I'm so cracking myself up right now! I need to get off here. (Brooke will do a snip-it from a film...."Somebody stop me"!!)

  2. Well duh - of course it's the one you made me!!!

BWA-HA-HA-HA... (that's an evil laugh in case you didn't get that...)

I kept telling people that I had processed a lot of my grieving over Tejan's departure back in January - when we were so close to saying goodbye... and so that must be why I wasn't feeling overly emotional about it this time around. I hadn't shed any tears. Hadn't choked up in that strange, overwhelming way where I feel like my whole head is filling up with fluid and my throat is so constricted I'm just sure I'm going to die. Nope. I was doing just fine. And then I went out to dinner with some girlfriends. And while I was a little socially inept because I'm a kind of overwhelmed and not really wanting to talk too much lately (perhaps in subconscious fear that I might touch on a nerve that would cause my aforementioned steely resolve to crumble) I thought I got through the evening fairly well. I didn't tear up - or need tissue for any fluids defiantly leaking from my facial orifices... until I made the a...
