It snowed a couple of inches last night. And more is on it's way - all week we're supposed to be adding to this preliminary layer of white. I'm SO excited. It's so pretty. Gracie LOVES the snow. She's so pickin' cute out there, bouncing around, getting snow all over her lips when she eats it. I've gotta get downstairs and dig the boots and snowpants out. I felt like a terrible Mom this morning sending the kids off in their tennis shoes to walk to school. Terrible.
I put Christmas music on this morning, and got a few boxes of decorations out. It's extremely difficult to get to my Christmas decorations right now, as the doorway into my basement under-stair storage is completely blocked. I have to go around by the pantry and squeeze between the extra fridge and a wall to get in there. It's worth it though. I especially love finding things I bought last year at the post-holiday sales that I'd completely forgotten about...
Cabinets come tomorrow. Paint went up last night. It's beginning to look like a room again, as opposed to a construction zone. Floor goes in on Tuesday next week. I'm going to go pick out my backsplash today... YAY!!! We're getting there.
E. goes to a friends' house today after school, so I've got all the way until 3:00 this afternoon to get stuff done... I don't want to waste a minute of it.
I'm outa here, friends. Have a good one.

You don't know me...I've been lurking for a while, but I just want to tell you that I love your banner....your children a adorable. Hey, your kitchen project seems to be moving along at a great pace. I know to you it seems like forever, but my husband is a contractor and I know how long it can take :) Hang in there...it will be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDebi - It's good to see you commenting... I always love it when lurkers become commenters.
ReplyDeleteI'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel with the kitchen. And I KNOW I have nothing to complain about. You know on HGTV when they show remodels, they always say "Six months later, the Smith's can finally look back at the process..." I know my little three weeks of project time is NOTHING. I'm trying not to complain too much...
Come back, ya here?
I.am.such.a.dork.
ReplyDeleteThat's supposed to say
"Come back, ya hear?"
not H E R E.
Whatever has happened to my brain?
They talked about the snow in your area on the news today. I said, "Hey, my friend lives there and I didn't know she was getting snow!" My son looked at me like I was crazy. His response was, "Why would she tell you?" Hmmm, I guess he doesn't think moms talk about things like snow.
ReplyDeleteGiggling about the shoes. I've done that before. Even worse than the shoes is the fact that John doesn't even have a coat and I sent him to school last week in a sweatshirt - it was 29 degrees when the bus pulled up. BAD MOMMA!
