Blah.
That's all I'm feeling today.
Not having much success as a parent lately... feeling like I just can't get through to them. And getting easily frustrated.
I'm struggling.
And don't have anything wise or insightful or funny or entertaining to say.
So, in the spirit of keeping it real, I'll just say hello in my best effort to maintain some semblance of relationship with the faithful few who come here often.
And if you're the praying type, I'd love a little prayer.
Hug you all.

ReplyDeleteWe all have those parent moments, but I feel that no matter what as long as we are doing the best we can that is all that matters.
Thinking of you!!!
"Jesus-be the lifter of her head. Grant peace and grace to this mom... we ask that you would make soft hearts abound in this home, so that truth and revelation can go deep.We ask for your protection for each child as they make their way in this world...and hope for this mom as she trusts you to teach her children. Teach us to come quickly to you, when we are weak and unsure of our position and authority- for you are the ultimate authority and your power is love...we need it. Amen"
ReplyDeleteI hope everything is feeling a little better now. I'm praying for you! And standing in agreement with Corey's awesome prayer!
ReplyDeleteYou know we all feel like that sometimes, but I have been reading your blog for a long time and I would say you are *anything* but "not successful" as a parent. *s* So try not to be hard on yourself ok?
Love you,
Melissa~
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns?
Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
-Romans 8:28-39
Yeah, been there, done that, still do it a lot.
ReplyDeleteLove that you're so honest Cathy!!
