The kids have all been sleeping downstairs for the last couple of nights. Which means they don't really notice the morning sun. And they don't necessarily get up at the crack of dawn.
This morning is one of those mornings. It's 8:00 and they haven't made a peep. Glorious.
Took Asia to the airport this morning. He's in Everett this week. He'll be gone on our anniversary, which is Wednesday, but home in time for his birthday on Friday. He's having a poker party on his birthday. That'll be fun. And noisy. I'm going to make meatballs for subs and other goodies... and then make myself scarce. The kids and I will probably watch movies in the basement so the guys can do their guy thing.
Going strawberry picking this morning, as soon as the kids get up. And then making jam when we get home. Gotta stop at Costco on the way home and buy the BIG bag of sugar. I'm always a little shocked at how much sugar goes into jam. Yikes. But it's SO good. There's just nothing like homemade strawberry jam. We made enough last summer to last until about December... this year I'm hoping to get more made. It's always so sad when you pull out the last container of jam and then you have to go back to store bought. It's just not the same.
I've been thinking a lot about organization and photo storage since Stacy Julian taught at the store... I know her philosophies well, but hearing them fresh again has just restored my desire to make some changes in this area... problem is, it's a HUGE job. One I would need to plug away at for weeks probably. Gotta think about that. And then make a plan. I know I would be a much happier scrapbooker if I had more of a system. A plan. Something besides folders full of photos all over the place... ugh.
Time to start the laundry. And get my morning moving...
Happy Monday, friends!

Happy Monday, friends!
I did just organize all of my digital printed up photos ala Stacy Julian :0)
ReplyDeleteIt took a little time but not to bad. I have Oct. 2002 (when we first went digital) until May 2007 all in these three up compact albums from Portaview.
Also have the cold storage box, and the box with extra photos sorted into the categories. It was worth it!!
My mom used to make strawberry freezer jam every year, but have I jumped on the bandwagon? Nooo. Why not? I have no excuse, except laziness. You're a good mom, Cath.
ReplyDeletesigh. Organizing. SIGH.
MMM.... strawberry jam. yummy :) We have been using grape jelly which I decided could double as DEP- a jar of purple gel for your hair. Gross, huh?
