- I have officially finished my fall class schedule, which means I'm booked through December. Wow. It's challenging to think about Christmas projects when it's 90 degrees outside, but that's the nature of my job.
- We watched Two Towers last night. I was exhausted when it was over and totally aware that I am not a courageous person.
- I've started hanging some laundry out on my clothesline. This does a couple of things: it makes me feel like a real live housewife. And it makes me feel less guilt for running the air conditioner. Plus - nothing smells better than laundry that's been outside to dry.
- I love the library in the summer. The kids and I go and everyone finds their own little corner to read and hunt out treasures. It's cool in there. And there are really really a LOT of books there. And DVDs. And magazines. Gotta love the library.
- The kids go to VBS next week. They love it. I love the little midsummer break. Everyone's happy.
- We've smelled a skunk in our backyard twice now. I do NOT want a skunk in my backyard. Go away, stinky skunk!
- It's so hard to get to the club to work out in the summer. I'm feeling a little pudgy. Gotta walk the dog more. Or somethin'.
- Is it wrong to give each of my kids a few bucks to go through the line by themselves when the grocery store has a limit of 1 on cheese or milk or eggs? I remember doing this for my mom when I was little, so it must be okay, right? After all, they're paying customers... it doesn't exactly say "limit 1 per household" - just limit 1. I think that means per customer.
- I'm getting eager for our annual trip to the beach. LOVE the beach.
- Flights from Orlando to Spokane are running around $500 right now. I know this because I'm trying to find one for Asia's brother to come visit. Yikes!
Happy Tuesday, friends.
i love your new banner. the little glimpses into your home are perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteYou just inspired me to go buy a clothesline. There is no reason I couldn't hang clothes out.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your new blog banner! It is perfect! :D

I have been hanging my laundry for almost 7 years now all year long. It was a big change at first but now I am used to it. Adding two little girls has been a challenge to make sure they get their clothes in time but overall it is good. When our house is done I hope to get a dishwasher which would be such a luxury. It is amazing the things you can do without. I would have to say though that internet would not be one of them. Happy Tuesday, Leana
ReplyDeleteHey Cathy,
ReplyDeleteI'm recovering from a nasty flu bug. Checking in on your blog was one of the first things I've done. I love the new banner, too.

I love your new banner. Gotta figure out how to do that. I am getting tired of the same four pictures at the top of readerman
ReplyDeleteI would love to take the girls to the library- we went last week and they did pretty well. I was going to story time once a week duting hte school year until Ashleigh became, shall we say, explorative. We'll get there, but right now, I'm sittin' pretty envious at your loungeful days there...
