- The snow berms outside are so high, yesterday when I was out driving around, the top of the snow was up to my window. We've lived in Spokane for 9 1/2 years and I've never seen snow like this. In fact, I've never seen snow like this in my life. There are supposed to be 3 to 5 more inches today and a whole bunch more on Thursday... wow. It's just amazingly beautiful and cool.
- My kids are home from school again today. Two snow days in a row is unheard of for Spokane Public Schools. Kyler is in seventh grade and this is the first time he's ever had a snow day, let alone two.
- Tejan is feeling great this morning. Not one complaint about his mouth being sore. I hate having dental work done and would be milking 8 fillings and an extraction for days. Thank goodness, he's not.
- Gracie is not a fan of snow up to her belly. She's taken to pooping on the driveway because it's the only place she can go where she's not up to her nose in snow. At least that way I can get it picked up... I guess I won't complain.
- Asia left a bit ago to try to drive to Yakima for a couple days for work. I made him promise if the roads are bad to turn around and come back. I used to be a lot more nervous about things like this, but I trust his judgement. Still, I'll be praying a lot this morning as he travels.
- Lent starts February 6th. I usually try to give something up for Lent... it really does help to focus my heart on Christ's sacrifice on the cross. I think I know what I'm going to do this year, but I'm still thinking on it...
- I got fun mail yesterday - my tassel from Nester and a new Creative Memories corner rounder I bought off ebay to replace one that got swiped during a class awhile back. Both made me so happy after a long day at the hospital. I love happy mail.
- Savannah has taken to taping things up on her walls in her room... they are starting to be covered, much like mine were at this age. I remember barely having an inch of space that wasn't covered with magazine pictures and words, schmaltzy animal prints and girly schtuff. I think it's pretty cute. But she sure is using lots of tape... (have I ever told you how territorial I am about tape? No, I don't think so. Trust me - if you borrow my tape, you'd better return it to it's little drawer or else...)
- Lots of cute new product sneak peeks out there the last couple of days... have you seen the new Scenic Route? And Cosmo Cricket? Oh dear. LOOOOOVE IT!
- We saw this little guy and his buddy yesterday on our way to the hospital. Fortunately, Asia was driving and I just happened to be sitting in the car with my camera in my lap. Not sure why they were out in the middle of the day, but we got to watch them saunter across the road... pretty cute little guys. Too bad they're so mean. Tejan got a kick out of it - and wanted to catch them and keep them as pets.
Happy Tuesday, bloggies!
Oh, that Cosmo Cricket is gonna get me in trouble! The blackboard is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAll that snow is so amazing. My son is four and has never seen snow...*sigh*...
I'm stealing your ten on tuesday today, hope you don't mind. :)

Pink Paper Peppermints
what's a snow berm? is that all the snow piled up on the sides of the roads?!
ReplyDelete(remember, I am a florida/tennessee girl so that is a new term for me!)
oh that snow brings back memories. That's what it was like for 4-5 years when I was in elementary school. That was the BEST!
ReplyDelete(not so great when you have to drive and shovel).
I'll take a couple inches and a snow day if you have one or two to spare. :)
I'm glad the oral surgery went well.
SNOW!! We are spending a couple days in Government Camp, Skiing with the boys. In the last 72 hrs they have had 42" of snow. We have had to unbury our car from over a foot of snow each morning. Chains don't help you when the snow is so deep your car bottoms out in the snow.
ReplyDeleteTejan wanted to keep them as pets or eat them??
Do tell what your plans are with that tassel thing. I dare you to wear it out- like for dinner!
