Savannah, Ethan and I participated in one of the largest races in the country today - over 50,000 runners, joggers and walkers.
We walked. 7.46 miles. In perfect sunshiney weather.
It was a good day.
I'm tired tonight. And a little sore.
But after living in Spokane for almost ten years, I can finally say I've done Bloomsday!

what fun! I am so proud of you and the kids...did they whine at all? just curious...that is my one great fear - that my kids would whine - which makes me a tad abusive at times...looks like fun - BUT I kinda need to know the down and dirty part...so I don't sign us up for some sort of marathon and then regret it dearly...
ReplyDeleteCorey - E. whined a little bit about his feet hurting about mile two... but I reminded him that I asked him if he wanted to join me for the race and he promised not to whine... that stopped it for the rest of the race.
ReplyDeleteThe worst part for me was that I really needed to pee the whole time but the line for the toilets were always SO long I didn't want to wait. I finally got to go around mile six. Then I was much happier.
All in all -they did GREAT. And I thought it was so fun. You should come do it with me next year!
Great job! Wow! I'm impressed! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteGood for you!
ReplyDeletePictures of you always make me miss you.
I am so impressed! It looks like it was a beautiful day for a walk!
ReplyDeleteYou just had to one-up us didn't you. We did the Discovery Walk 11K last month, which is only 6.875 miles. Guess next year we'll have to do the 21K just to stay ahead of the Goins family.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! :0)
