Webby goodness to share...

  1. I am absolutely head over heels in love with these. I want all 26. Too bad I don't have ten thousand billion dollars, which is what I think it would come to when you convert all those pounds to dollars.
  2. I recently bought these. Savannah insists on using a straw with every pickin' beverage that passes her lips. I got so tired of having to throw her straws away when I was doing the dishes, I figured these would be a good thing. We love them. They're guaranteed. Which means if we ever break one, Strawsome will replace it. And they're eco-friendly. I just throw them in the silverware basket in the dishwasher. Think of all the landfill space we're saving by not adding 10 to 15 straws a week to the garbage. (And economical, since I'm sure you all know how expensive a straw habit can be to support, what, with straws costing a dollar for like 300... I'll recoup the cost of these babies in about twenty five years...) Whatever. They're fun.
  3. Loving the free wallpaper here. There's even a boxer! Too cute.
  4. I pretty much love everything here. I'll take one of each, please! I have no idea what I'd do with it - I just think it's SO fun.
  5. Aren't these just yummy? I'm not much of a book buyer - I prefer to use the library - but I think the designs on these books are just gorgeous and I want a stack of them sitting on my mantle... be sure to click on one and take a good look up close. Aren't they stunning?
  6. I'm totally making this today. Asia's got poker night tonight - I'm going to send some cupcakes along just so I can try it.
  7. My niece is in love. Sweet.

  1. Trust me. That frosting is de-lish.

And why, oh why, did you have to show me that packing tape?

    Have a great weekend! :)

  2. I love the packing tape! And tell me if you try the frosting. I've heard of a flour in frosting recipe before, but never tried it. On Paula Deen maybe?

I love reading your blog. You are an inspiration. :)

And I think you should go take a look at this.

It made me think of your post about not fitting in.

I think sometimes we over think what God wants for us when we are usually right in the middle of what He wants for us. You know? :)

(excuse me while I go tattoo that on my forehead...you know..backwards-ambulance style so I can read it everyday...heh-heh)

  3. Oh, and I meant to say that I *love* your photo in the banner. How beautiful and movie-starrish you look. :) Like Gwenyth Paltrow or someone equally as naturally beautiful.

FYI, I have made the frosting TWICE already, once for a cake and once to put in cream puffs with some whip cream added. YUM. It's a great recipe. Thanks.

Happy Birthday Cathy! , originally uploaded by Pink Paper Peppermints . All of these sweet bloggy friends threw me a cyber-birthday party! How fun is that? Thank you, dear friends. I am touched. It's really just what I needed today. Sweet Tanya even made me a cake. If you want to follow the party around cyber-space, you can go to Melissa's blog to see everyone who is participating.

Getting to know you Wednesday

So it's been awhile. But I thought hearing from ya'll might cheer up my little snow encrusted Spokane self. So today, if I get at least 12 comments, I'll randomly pick one and send that lucky commenter any CD from Your Music . Whatever you want. So today, in light of mid-winter doldrums, I want you to answer the following three questions. To escape mid-winter doldrums, I like to: My favorite winter memory is: I know Spring is coming when: Okay, friends. Now it's your turn. Go to it.

The floodgates have opened.

So, I was doing pretty well managing my emotions. I kept telling people that I had processed a lot of my grieving over Tejan's departure back in January - when we were so close to saying goodbye... and so that must be why I wasn't feeling overly emotional about it this time around. I hadn't shed any tears. Hadn't choked up in that strange, overwhelming way where I feel like my whole head is filling up with fluid and my throat is so constricted I'm just sure I'm going to die. Nope. I was doing just fine. And then I went out to dinner with some girlfriends. And while I was a little socially inept because I'm a kind of overwhelmed and not really wanting to talk too much lately (perhaps in subconscious fear that I might touch on a nerve that would cause my aforementioned steely resolve to crumble) I thought I got through the evening fairly well. I didn't tear up - or need tissue for any fluids defiantly leaking from my facial orifices... until I made the a...
