Update.

Okay - so I know it's been too long since I've posted when Blogger doesn't remember who I am and I have to re-log-in.

So what have I been up to?

Work. Still loving my job. Hoping to get a few more meetings, but I'm pretty content with my schedule right now. I've had tons of enrollments lately - not sure if people are responding to the Jennifer Hudson campaign or if it's the impending swimsuit season getting people through the door, but I'd bet I've had 20 new people in the past couple of weeks. Good stuff. I love new members who've worked up the courage to bring themselves through the doors.

Track. Two track meets a week is keeping my Thursdays and Fridays busy. Kyler PR'd with a 5:04 mile last week, then only managed to do it in 5:05 yesterday. He was disappointed, but is still hoping to run a sub-five mile this year. I hope he can do it. Savannah is running the 100 yard dash, the 4 x 100 relay and is hoping to do the high jump sometime. They only pick four girls per meet for that event - but she's pretty good so hopefully she'll get her chance.

Organizing. My house over the winter became a junk pile. The 'green room' in the basement that is our storage room was OUT OF CONTROL. I managed to spend a couple of hours down there on Thursday and got started on the monumental task of clearing it out. Savannah wants to sleep down there this summer when she gives her room up to her cousin who will be living with us off and on... gotta make room for a bed.

Bloomsday. The whole family is participating in this huge road race tomorrow. 7.46 miles of pure Spokane goodness. Kyler will run. Savannah and I plan to walk fast/run and Asia and Ethan will bring up the rear. I'm looking forward to it so much. It's a great spring rite of passage.

Mentoring. Asia and I have officially taken over the pre-marital mentoring ministry at church - which means we coordinate the mentors with couple who request counseling... at our church of mostly college students, that can mean as many as ten to twenty couples a year. We had a meeting last week with the mentors to establish a database and lay out the very flexible method/framework we want all the mentors to work within. We're currently working with two couples that are getting married this summer and mentoring two others that are already married... as well as counseling a couple that's struggling right now... I love it so much and pray that God continues to use us this way.

Not watching tv. Our DVR is so full of shows. We simply don't have the time to watch anymore it seems. I went through a couple days ago and deleted hours and hours because I knew I wouldn't have time to watch it all. I just could go without it altogether...

Baking. I made Honey Whole Wheat bagels the other day. Yum. They turned out SO good.

I love this time of year so much... the flowers blooming and the ultra green spring grass make me so happy.

Have a lovely weekend, friends. Smooch you all.

Good morning, peeps. It's Friday. There's frost outside this morning. *FROST!* This week has been ridiculously chilly. I'm having mixed feelings about blogging lately. Mostly because I feel like all I've been doing is whine about being tired. Or overwhelmed. And because comments are lacking. And because I can't seem to think about anything to write about except Tejan. And because some of the thoughts I'm having are too private for the blog - or too repetitive. Or too unformed to turn into actual words you all could understand. So I'm struggling a bit. And yet, I'm committed to documenting the process I'm in. So I'll keep writing when the words come. And when they don't, like this morning, when I looked at that intimidating blinking cursor and my mind went blank and I started to break out in a cold sweat and began by talking about the weather... well, then, I'll just gracefully (or not so gracefully) back out of the room... tail between m...

It came out of the faucet that way.

It's been months since I've had a "Getting to Know You Wednesday." Life's been a little crazy. So today, when life is a little bit calm and I've got the least chaotic week I've had for ages, I thought I'd jump back in. So today, if you leave me a comment telling me your most favorite-ist movie line ever, I'll enter you in a drawing for your very own copy of Josh Groban's new Christmas CD - Noel . It's a good one, folks. Classic holiday music from such a wonderful vocalist... you'll like it, I promise. I just want one movie line. Not your three favorite... not a paragraph. Just one line. The one you find yourself repeating. The one that makes you laugh every time. Your very favorite movie line of all time. And if you're the first person to name the movie my title is from, you'll get an extra entry in the drawing. Now, let's hear it.

Happy Birthday Cathy! , originally uploaded by Pink Paper Peppermints . All of these sweet bloggy friends threw me a cyber-birthday party! How fun is that? Thank you, dear friends. I am touched. It's really just what I needed today. Sweet Tanya even made me a cake. If you want to follow the party around cyber-space, you can go to Melissa's blog to see everyone who is participating.
