E. and I were driving home from running errands this afternoon.
I came around the corner in a residential area to the strangest sight.
Six wild turkeys were crossing the road.
S---l---o---w---l---y.
I've lived here for seven years and have never seen a wild turkey.
The day before Thanksgiving, I see six of them crossing the road.
I'm sure there's some significance to that.
But I have no idea what it might be.

They were probably on the run but were going slowly hoping you wouldn't see them.
ReplyDeleteSo...why did the chicken (I mean turkey) cross the road?
ReplyDeleteDuck crossing - yes. Deer crossing - yes. Turkey crossing - never heard of it. How weird. My mom has wild turkey babies living by her house and she talks about them all the time. But then, she lives at the end of the earth in a tiny little podunk town that only has one streetlight. Turkeys probably think the town is there to serve them.
